Cyprinus carpio (common carp) is one of the oldest domesticated freshwater fish. Traditional single reference genomes fail to capture the species’ rich genetic diversity arising from whole-genome duplication and extensive population diversification.
CyPanBase presents the first pan-genome of common carp, built from 500 Gb of resequencing data across 38 individuals. This platform integrates core/variable gene sets, PAVs, and functional annotations to accelerate molecular breeding.
